About

Located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, the St Paul's Catholic Early Learning Center was founded in 1995 to service the needs of the children of St Paul's Catholic Church and the surrounding community.

Children from ages 3 to 4 years enjoy developmentally appropriate classrooms, and learn from the combination of an academic and a Catholic-faith based curriculum.

The Early Learning Center provides a warm, Christ-centered learning environment. Through the team effort of parent, child, teacher and ELC, children are allowed to develop at their own pace by establishing positive attitudes about themselves, school, and the world around them. Children are also encouraged to develop self-confidence, and independence allowing them to feel more secure socially, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually.

Each classroom is staffed with a teacher and 2 teaching assistants, providing outstanding child to staff ratios. The low child to staff ratio offers excellent supervision, and one-on-one interaction during learning activities.

For full-day students, school is in session year-round with minimal closings. For part-time care, the school year starts in August and parents may choose a 2-, 3- or 5-day per week program. The part-time school year ends in late May.

Learning Philosophy

The St. Paul's Catholic Early Learning Center will strive to develop a positive self-image in each child, stimulate self-confidence and independence, and help each child to become more secure socially, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually.

Free expression is encouraged through various media including art, play, music, drama, and much more. Through the team effort of teacher, child, and parent, each child will be allowed to develop at their own pace by establishing a positive attitude about themselves, school, and the world around them
